Home again! I love this place :)

Happy to be home, not so happy with the huge list of things I have to get done! I have a feeling the next few weeks are going to be busy ones...Oooh but I have a new board coming which is going to be beeeautiful, and Rudy is back for a month, yeeww! :)

Once again, I am writing a blog about yet another fantastic weekend, except that this weekend happened nearly 3 weekends ago, and I forgot to write something here. haha. Oh well.

5, 6, 7 November :


Chad had his 21st which I already wrote about. Let me just say again that it was amazing!

Guy Fawkes at Harlequins, A group of us went to go watch the fireworks display and play at the funfair. I can't say I actually enjoy anything to do with the rides, except just to look at them, and I'm definitely not a fan of that horrible sick feeling that sticks with you until the next day.

I was the only one who didn't go on the rides, and stood there like that over-excited mom that just smiles and takes pictures of everyone and anything. I got judged. By my friends. You guys suck. (No, no you don't.)

We all decided to go watch Goldfish on Sunday at the Botanic Gardens - Again. I don't even know how many times I've watched them play, but they're still good to watch! It was supposed to be overcast and ugly but turned out to be an amazing day in Dirtbin. Smiles all around!

Successful day.

Anyway, so it was cool. Tam's having her 22nd birthday at the Botanic Gardens this sunday, I'm excited, it should be wonderful!

They were so good to watch live!  This man is also a pretty human being which made it even better. I've stalked this band forever and so watching them live made me a VERY happy kid.

It took a lot of effort using my body as a human shield against hundreds of people to save the life of my camera. I somehow made my way through the chaos right to the front - The front, as in the fence that separates the band from their groupies.

That would be me.
And I'm not even ashamed to admit it...

I went through such a mission mosh pit to get there. It's scary when there's hundreds of people all pushing and jumping in different directions.

Even though I was getting just as involved as they all were, jumping around, head banging, apparently looking like the devil has possessed all of us.(Go away Justin Bieber fans).Anyway, I thought my lens was going to snap off, so I had to remove myself from the huge wave of screaming humans.

To add to my entertainment there were still the few odd ones who were willing to lose some of their valuables and threw their Vans shoes on stage, and Bra's, and a Cellphone! Why? I don't know. Hope it was nice for them walking around gateway barefoot without a bra.Silly people.

Call me lame,but their concert was ages ago. And I'm still talking about it... ha

They’re filming Blue Crush 2 in South Africa 

which is very cool. 

I like my country.

I like that other people like it too. 

They built an amazing beach house on Glenmore beach. I would’ve lived in it. But it didn’t have a bathroom or kitchen, but thats not important.We had to get some death-menthol stuff put in our eyeballs to make us cry while they demolished it.They didn’t even film us crying and so my eyes nearly fell out their sockets from that stuff for nothing.

Mountain Girl is a glorified extra.I don’t say anything.I just surf, and be a running blur in the background with the rest of the Surf Family, who could possibly be the best humans I’ve ever met. 

I knew some of them already and I met some new friendies in the cast and crew. All these people are quite wonderful. Got so many good memories from just 2 weeks. 

I can’t actually write everything in here – there’s way too much and I’m way too lazy. But a lot of random things went down.

Watching Soccer and having little dinner parties in H4. James, Kei, and Tyrones flat. They were nice enough to let it be our little gathering spot. It was the only flat with a functional kitchen that had more than just a microwave, 2 cups and a spoon.

I HEART DURBAN. Like a lot.. like

This day was cool! AH! Went to the Moses Mabhida Stadium to go check it out but the wind was blowing at like 946km/h so we couldn't go up. Wow it's a pretty looking thing though!

A few of us little people went to Moyo for some drinks and to watch the sunset :)
